BRING IMAGES TO LIFE: AUGMENTED REALITY

Augmented reality integrates the virtual world into the real world. It is a way 

to enhance one's current perception by using technology. Augmented reality provides;

•     Presenting effective tools for learning process
•       Providing motivational and attractive materials for students
•       Using the technology effectively

     
There are so many applications related to augmented reality. Colarmix, Morfo, String, Aurasma, and Snapshop are some interesting applications for students. Teachers should apply one of them in their classrooms to color up their lessons.

AURASMA

       Aurasma is one of the most commonly used application for augmented reality. Its application is available for android and apple devices. With this application, we can create our 'Auras' in three steps:

1.      Pick your content from the library or your phone.
2.      Take a picture of something that you want to use as aura. 
3.      Get your content into position and scale it. 

      Now, your auras are ready. We also prepared an aura to teach colors with a song. If you want to see how it works, scan the picture with your aurasma app after following the channel 'busrakaygusuz'.



COLARMIX

Colarmix is another tool to augment reality in classrooms. This application is similar to Aurasma, but there is a significant difference in Colarmix. 

•      Teachers hand out some pictures to their students.
•      Then, students are supposed to paint them with any color they want.
•      Finally, students give lives to their pictures by showing them to this application
